I remember playing Groves in Water Polo in highschool. I’m pretty sure we crushed you guys, sorry. Not that anyone cares about water polo anyways....

But yeah I was considering going to college for engineering, but I recently started as a partner in a small automotive detailing company, and the 11 hour workdays have postponed further education yet again.

Honestly? It’s quite a challenge so far.

It’s basically two of us cleaning cars for Shaheen, the biggest dealer and parts warehouse in the area, if not the state. They keep us as busy as we can be, but having started a month ago with practically no money in either of our pockets, we’re struggling a bit, because the dealer only pays monthly, so we have to wait about 4 weeks until we get money while somehow maintaining out supplies for cleaning. Which is a bitch because they demand perfection, I have to clay bar, hand wax, and pull back and clean all the weatherstripping. Basically, if it doesn’t look like new, they’re not happy. Not to mention the fact that dealers must siphon all their cars to practically empty, so we have to buy gas out to be reimbursed f0r later

But once that first check clears and we’re able to get some people working underneath us, everything will be great. The business is there, we just need more capacity and capital. I’ll be happy when I’m not working 11 hour days 6 days a week.

It’s just consumer vehicles, a lot of basic GM and Ford stuff. Shaheen is primarily a Chevy dealer, but they seem to have a particular aversion to Chrysler/Dodge/FCA products. We’ve only done one for them, a piece of shit Sebring I wrote about.

It will all be fine once we get the first payment, it’s just that we’re on shoestrings until then. But I am running my car on 89 octane for now :(
